Why did you join ASA as an intern?
ASA was recommended to me by my sister who previously worked here as an Operations Manager. She told me about how fun and supportive the intern team is, so I applied to this position because I was eager to work with a team of people from different backgrounds and to get more design experience.
What did you learn in your internship with ASA?
One thing I’ve learned from this internship is how to collaborate with different teams. I’ve gotten to work with our marketing and writing teams on various projects like our newsletter, blog, and recently-launched coaching program. I’ve also gotten more real-world practice with aligning business goals with UX principles.
What is one piece of advice that you would give to current students looking for internships?
One piece of advice I would give to students on the internship/job hunt would be to lean on the people around you as much as possible. Being a student is one of the best times to make connections and learn about different fields that interest you, so take advantage of all the resources you have around you while you can. Join clubs related to your field of study, talk to your teachers/professors/mentors, or even reach out to family members with jobs you admire. Making connections and asking for help can really influence your internship/job hunt.
Why should you intern with ASA?
Working at ASA can help you get real-world practice working in a professional environment. On top of that, you get to work with a supportive team of interns and staff who are always willing to lend a hand in your professional journey.
