Past Event

On August 19th, Asian Student Achievement President and CEO, Shane Carlin, was invited to host a diversity, equity, and inclusion training with the Penn State University Student Program Association leadership team via Zoom at their annual retreat. It was an opportunity to teach their leadership about the education and knowledge of hate crimes, bias incidents, and micro-aggressions as well as strategize on new ways they can help their membership with this important topic.

In addition, ASA was represented at the recent 2023 NAAAP Leadership Convention in Boston, MA where Shane Carlin was a panelist with other social entrepreneurs.

Upcoming Event

We are excited about the Filipino Americans Coming Together (FACT) conference this December 1-3. This is the largest Filipino-interest event in the Midwest, and we get to send our students there! FACT has been going on for many years, and we are incredibly thankful to be a part of such an amazing event. For three days, our interns will get the chance to learn networking skills, and staffing skills, attend workshops, and more! If you would like to help send our interns to FACT this year, you can donate here!
