David Harbin

“I give to ASA because I believe everyone should have the same opportunities to higher education, job opportunities, and networking, and I love giving back to the community that has impacted my personal and professional development so positively over the last 2 decades (almost!). I feel like it is an unspoken responsibility to mentor and help others and increase AAPI awareness and diversity initiatives, being a minority in the community and also in the workplace, so I look forward to ASA’s continued growth and success!”

Our Generous Donors:

As a millennial Asian leader, I understand the importance of breaking the generational wounds that were created by the cultural burdens of people pleasing, staying quiet, and burnout from lack of self care. Asian Student Achievement does a wonderful job in providing the soft skills that future leaders need to climb up the corporate ladder or start their own business, FEARLESSLY! I hope to continue supporting this mission to help others find their dream careers.

Erica Chen

As the Chief Executive Officer of the African American Development Officers Network (AADO), I am thrilled to have the opportunity to provide financial support to Asian Student Achievement, from me as an individual and from AADO as an organization. I recognize the significance of uplifting non-profit organizations that offer guidance and counsel to young people in underrepresented communities, enabling them to further explore their personal attributes and hone their soft skills, ultimately empowering them to make meaningful contributions to the world.

Birgit Burton

I’m proud to support Asian Student Achievement because there’s no doubt that the next generation will benefit greatly from the skills development that ASA provides. Particularly when it comes to public speaking and the confidence that typically comes from being comfortable in professional environments– Asian Student Achievement is helping to cultivate a new generation that will have a positive impact, not only in the workplace but also within their individual communities and beyond.

Christine Centeno

When I was in college, I was fortunate to participate in leadership building, yet nothing existed like Asian Student Achievement. So I am glad to support ASA to link young adults to build their leadership and pursue their dreams.

Rhea Yap

As a former President & CEO of the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) and a current corporate Asian American ERO leader, I’ve seen firsthand how crucial leadership and other soft skills are for career success. Technical skills are essential, but they are only one piece of the puzzle. This organization is investing in our future by empowering the next generation of professionals with the vital skills they need to thrive in their careers. I wholeheartedly support ASA, and I urge you to join me in making a difference!

As an Asian American who has personally benefited from mentors and coaches in navigating my career journey and now advises underserved college-aged students, I wholeheartedly believe in the mission and work of Asian Student Achievement (ASA) to empower Asian and Asian Americans to progress through the pipeline into leadership positions. Without the space, community, and opportunity that organizations like ASA provide, it shows that success is not only possible but achievable.

Mathea Olson

We support AAPI because it is consistent with our desire to facilitate equality of opportunity for all people. Although our culture has made strides in the area of civil rights, many opportunities are not available to all individuals because of prejudice, stereotypes, and ignorance. AAPI offers a constructive approach and environment for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders to pursue leadership opportunities.

ASA’s mission on coaching and training students personally resonates with me. When seeking a job, it is the “softer skills” that set us apart in the interview process and I am encouraged by the work the ASA is doing to equip the next generation of Asian professionals! If your employer offers a company matching program for charitable contributions, don’t forget to take advantage of maximizing the funding impact that you can have on ASA.

Susan Chan

Asian Student Achievement provides an important role in fostering the development of our Asian and Asian Americans’ voices in the career development process. Supporting the mission of ASA now is particularly imperative. We must all stay the course to elevate and foster the talent in our communities. I took the opportunity to make a donation in order to support this important work.

Susan Heft Sears

I have seen first-hand where some of the myths surrounding the APIA community have hurt our students. Many APIA’s in the workplace have been bypassed because of the “great worker, inadequate leader” myth and ASA is forging a path for the next generation of Asian students to shatter those myths and take their rightful place as leaders in the future. This is why I support ASA.
