Help us plan and execute this vision by sourcing and building relationships between ASA and student organizations, university students, and recent graduates who could benefit from ASA’s coaching and job board services.

Business Development Responsibilities:
Account Management
- Represent ASA accounts with the approval of the ASA President/CEO.
- Develop and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients (companies, organizations, and universities/colleges).
Outreach
- Identify and research potential clients, markets, and business opportunities.
- Maintain customer relationship system (CRM) and donor list.
- Represent ASA at in-person events (where applicable).
- Present ASA virtual introduction presentations to university or organization representatives.
Business Strategy
- Create and implement strategies for growth, and revenue generation for the job board, speaking events, and 1:1 coaching.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create campaigns and fundraisers.
- Prepare and deliver pitches, proposals, and presentations to clients with the ASA case statement.
Miscellaneous
- Research and have a comprehensive understanding of Asian Student Achievement.
- Train with and receive feedback from the President/CEO of ASA.
- Gather testimonials from event/workshop attendees.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity.
- Respond to emails, Slack, and other written communication within 24 hours.
- Other duties as assigned.
Online Engagement Responsibilities:
Social Media Management
- Manage Asian Student Achievement (ASA) social media, including Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and LinkedIn.
- Schedule social media posts via Hootsuite.
- Edit and update job posting template and post to social media within 48 hours of receiving job post.
- Promote company partnerships, materials, events, and other content.
Data Collection and Analysis
- Create event recaps from workshops, speaking engagements, and outside engagements.
- Collect event attendance information & update records.
- Collect event feedback responses & recommend improvements.
Growth and Outreach
- Research partnership opportunities.
- Utilize ASA social media to invite professional connections to our pages.
- Increase engagement across all of ASA communication and social media platforms.
- Track performance across all platforms.
Miscellaneous
- Respond to emails, Slack, and other communication within 24 hours of receiving the information.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have valid work status (U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents can disregard this). We will not be able to sponsor you for any other type of visa, e.g. H-1B.
- You may use your OPT (optional practical training) hours with us.
- We will not be able to pay for any costs associated with work status and eligibility.
- You may first need approval from your school and/or the U.S. Government before interning with us. Please take care of this before interviewing with us.
- Commit to a minimum of 8 months for the internship with the possibility of extension or promotion
- Commit to a minimum of 5 to 10 hours a week to assigned tasks, meetings, and ASA events (we will reimburse you for any required travel).
- Self-driven with the ability to work both independently and as a team member.
- Basic networking skills and command of conversational skills for interaction with clients and teammates in remote settings.
- Basic sales skills or ability to learn quickly.
- Experience with Google Docs, Sheets, and other Google productivity software.
- Be organized with attention to detail.
Non-compete clause: While working for ASA, you are not allowed to work as a volunteer, part-time, or full-time employee with any competing organization or company that offers our business plan.
Preferred:
- Any prior internship experience(s) or similar part-time job(s).
