CHICAGO – Asian Student Achievement (ASA) is excited to announce a new collaboration with the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP). This partnership will merge the two separate job boards into one, helping job seekers connect with more diversity driven companies.

“As President and CEO of Asian Student Achievement, I have been fortunate to be a member of NAAAP from 2000 to the present. This partnership will help provide resources for ASA students and young professionals due to the seasoned experienced professionals of NAAAP,” Shane Carlin said. 

He continued to say, “We hope that ASA can provide a grassroots membership effort for NAAAP for years to come.”

It will also offer employers a wide range of job seekers, from entry to senior levels. In addition, NAAAP will be able to increase their collegiate and entry level memberships. 

“NAAAP has promoted leadership and professional excellence through national and chapter programs for nearly four decades. ASA shares our spirit of leadership and career growth with younger people, and we are so excited to form this partnership with ASA,” Cyndy Yu-Robinson said, Executive Director of NAAAP.

ASA works with undergraduate and graduate students and young professionals to develop soft skills that will help them in the job force. ASA believes that skills such as ​professional networking, promoting yourself, and job interviewing can be the deciding factor between them and another job candidate.

ASA has an impactful team who have years of coaching experiences with students of all cultural backgrounds and skill levels who are seasoned in their professions. 

The ASA partnership with NAAAP will also include speaking, membership, and professional engagements. 

“We look forward to the ASA team sharing their insights at our annual Leadership Convention and other events,” Yu-Robinson said.

The partnership will only make the connection between the two Asian American organizations that much stronger.  

“I’m really excited about this partnership and feel confident we are going to create exciting opportunities for everyone involved. Merging two esteemed organizations like ASA and NAAAP is only going to enrich the AAPI community worldwide,” Carlin said.
